Explore the printing potential of late summer leaves, in a relaxing and inspiring workshop at my home in south Liverpool.
After an initial introduction to the principles and practice of botanical contact ['eco'] printing, you will explore the printing potential of different leaves, and ways to enhance their definition and colour.
Whilst having fun in a relaxed environment, you will learn about differences between leaves and why they differ in their ability to make prints. Having printed some samples on cotton or linen, you will print at least one piece of silk large enough for a scarf, and at least one stack of papers.
Participant numbers for the workshop are restricted to five, to maximise your experience. A minimum of three students is normally required for a workshop to run. Given the small size of the group, there will be plenty of time for detailed tuition and discussion, and it enables me to tailor the workshop content to students' experience.
Workshop fee includes all fully prepared materials [worth £30], tea and coffee all day and a light vegetarian lunch. If you prefer, you may bring your own lunch.
People who've been on my workshops have said:
"Thanks again for a brilliant workshop on Tuesday. My head is buzzing ewith future proejcts." [Susan]
"Thank you very much for a great day and for all you do to help us to produce some lovely prints.
Thanks too, for the lovely lunch and your hospitality throughout the day. I thoroughly enjoyed it." [Chris]
