Come and discover the joys of botanical contact ['eco'] printing and natural dyeing in a workshop with me.

I love teaching people about our beautiful world and how we can sustainably use nature to create art. I promote love and respect for our surroundings, using natural materials only. In my workshops, we use recycled materials where possible, and any new materials are sourced from reputable suppliers renowned for their ethical and sustainable practices and sources.

My in-person workshops offer a unique opportunity to dive into printing with the natural botanical world in a hands-on and immersive environment. The range of workshop lengths and prices offered suit customers' different personal circumstances and experience. Sessions range from short two-hour taster sessions, through four hour half day sessions, to full day sessions of six hours.

I offer in-person introductory and more advanced workshops. In these sessions you will learn how to:

  • prepare natural fibres for printing and dyeing;
  • identify which leaves give great prints; and
  • create stunning backgrounds using natural tannins and dyestuffs. The more advanced workshops explore this in more detail.

I'll show you different methods of applying heat and moisture to mobilise and transfer natural pigments from foliage to fibre, and share the key techniques which ensure the best possible prints. Plus, you’ll learn about after care of your beautiful prints too.

Most of my openly available in-person workshops are run in south Liverpool, but I happily travel to run workshops for groups elsewhere.

My upcoming workshops which are open for booking are listed here. If you join my email list, you'll be amongst the first to hear about future events.

I look forward to sharing the joy of botanical contact printing with you at a future event!
