Luxurious Lambswool Scarf printed with Eucalyptus Cordata & Nicholii [SC312]

Luxurious and beautifully warm lambswool scarf, printed using sustainable, natural dyes  with Eucalyptus Cordata & Nicholii from my garden and dyed with onion skins and iron [SC312].

The lambswool scarf was soaked in 50/50 vinegar/water solution, then bundled up with the eucalyptus leaves and simmered with a great deal of love in my trusty fish kettle in a dye bath of  onions skins and iron, for a couple of hours. This enabled the eucalyptus pigments and tannins to be mobilised and transfer across to create prints on the wool fibres, which were also dyed around the edges by the dye bath. 

This beautifully warm scarf hugs the neck well to keep out chilly breezes and draughts, and brightens up any dreary winter day.

Measures approx 180cm x 28cm.

Hand wash at 30C with soap only. DO NOT use detergents.
